Warning: 2 girls evangelizing

Hello Idahomies!! I love and miss you all! This week was packed with miracles. Best miracles of all: Sister McCrae and I will be together for another 6 weeks here in good ole' Graham!!!!! Yay!!! We like were jumping around and hugging. I am so grateful to be serving God with my very best friend<3 We had a good long talk about goals this week together. We have been working really hard, but want to be progressing missionaries. We had such a strong spiritual confirmation of setting a goal of 5 baptisms for next transfer! We are going to have to be so focused and work so hard, but we are ready to hit the pavement! We made some serious sacrifices this week and I can't even describe the joy I felt. We were so united as a companionship and were lead by the Spirit in helping others. Byron committed to baptism this week for February 11th, but I think he will be ready sooner. He came to church and loved it:) As we had a lesson yesterday, he expressed that he has been a heavy drinker since 6th grade. Until the day we knocked on his door, since then he decided to stop drinking and follow God. Woah. So powerful! He says everytime he is tempted he reads the Book of Mormon and prays. He is an incredible man. I feel honored to be the one sharing the restored gospel with him.

We also started teaching a less-active man and his two little girls! He is super awesome and is like a spitting image of my Uncle Daren haha. His daughter is 10 and ready to be baptized! She is so adorable and we are excited to teach her. Sammi has been really sick, but we saw her at church beaming! We asked her how she felt and she said she prayed really hard to get better to come to church and it worked!!! God is so involved in her life. He loves her so much. It is so cool to see his hand!

And last but not least Melvin!! We went over for a lesson Saturday and he recited almost word for word 1 Nephi 1-8 hahaha. He was like "This Book is the best! It is like something you would see in the movies!" He loves the story of Nephi. He is soaking up the gospel and doing so good. He is having a special fast and prayer this week about whether or not to be baptized. I am confident God will let him know that is right:) I just can't even express my gratitude for all of these wonderful people we are teaching. Land of the fruit and honey of missionary work!!! However, amid the happiness, there is always some struggle. A man in our ward came up to us at church and asked if we had been procelyting a lot in Sunrise Ward. Of course we had and he laughed and told us about a Sunrise Community facebook page that they had. He says he loves getting on and see pictures of us and our car all the time and everyone saying, "Two Girls Evangelizing! If you aren't interested shut your windows!" "Don't go out in this area. Two girls out procelyting." "Watch out for the missionaries. Two very nice girls though." Hahahahahahahahaha!!! I was laughing pretty hard that there is a lookout party for us haha! But all of them said we were nice girls so that is good! Thank you for all the support! Have a bomb week! Give Em' Heaven:)

Your Sister in Christ,

Sister Northrup
