Sniffles
Hola Familia y Amigos!!!! We almost froze this week I woke up Wednesday with a horrible cold and it only got worse the next day. I just had to blow my nose every 5 minutes during zone conference haha. We took a few hours inside to wait for my fever to go away and Sister McCrae and I have a besties movie night:) (appropriate films of course) Gratefully I got better pretty quick so we could get back to work! We have seen miracle after miracle this week from going out in the cold. Finding is frigid, but God blesses us as we sacrifice to find those He is preparing. Early in the week we found a bunch of pretty solid teenagers to teach, but when we went back the parents put a stop to that real quick... so sad. We were a little upset as we left, but decided to have faith and knock some more doors and we met Melvin! He is so prepared!!! He already has a Book of Mormon and had so many questions when we went back for our first discussion. It is funny how God tests our faith a little bit and if we endure it well, everything works out. The members are still killing it with sharing the Gospel. We have gotten tons of referrals and most of them are our most solid investigators.
Our zone Christmas party was a blast! The Sisters in our mission are the bomb. They will be my bestfriends for life no doubt. We ate a great dinner and then had a mission version of the pitch perfect riff off hahaha. We had to go around and sing Christmas songs in zones, but you couldn't repeat of you were out. And the best part ANY CHRISTMAS SONG EVER was allowed! Let it suffice to say when Sister Williams and I stood up for our zone and broke out in "Mistletoe" by Justin Beiber everyone was laughing pretty hard. I am sure you are proud of me Emily;) We then brought the Spirit back and went and had a really powerful devotional. Our zone performed The First Noel and we were the only zone with cellos! It was really cool:) Heavenly Father blessed me with the ability to sing through my cold for sure. President then surprised us with an announcement that on Saturday we were having a Festival of Finding. Basically we were finding from 10-5 that day. Wooohoooo! Best day for me cause tracting is fun!!! We went on a couple blitz's with different Sisters in our zone and I learned so much. Sister McCrae took over the area for the first time and found a bunch of amazing potentials:) She is an incredible missionary. I went back to Rainer Ward and we taught a lot of people for the Eatonville sisters. The best part about a mission is that you never stop learning or progressing. There is no such thing as a perfect missionary. I always have new things to learn and apply from the scriptures and other missionaries. I am so grateful for this beautiful time of year I have to teach and testify of my Brother and Savior Jesus Christ! I love His gospel with all my heart! I pray that we will take advantage of this Christmas time to build our relationship with Him and share our testimonies with the lost and brokenhearted!
Your Sister in Christ,
Sister Northrup
