Sledding in a skirt
SNOW!!!!! It snowed so so so much on Thursday! And is stuck! All the grass was covered and the Washington drivers were all over the road because it was slick hahaha. But lucky for us we are Idaho drivers;) The week started off amazing with a sports p-day. Sister McCrae and I went to the church and played an intense game of Horse and Keeper Wars haha. We came out of it with some bruises, but it was so worth it! It is nice to be companions with your bestfriend.
Our lesson with Sammi went well. We talked a lot about faith. She is so ready to be baptized, but she is scared to talk with her parents. Her mom is sooo on board! She has even been telling her to go to BYU! Her dad on the other hand is very much more atheist and she is scared how it will affect the relationship. She committed to pray and fast about it. Everytime we see her at church and when she talks about the Book of Mormon her eyes just light up. She is gaining so much joy from the gospel! It reminds me that I need to have that kind of joy for the small things as well. We take for granted the power of feasting on the Book of Mormon, partaking of the Sacrament every week, and having conversations with our Father in Heaven daily. It is by small and simple things that great testimonies come to pass!!
Highlight of the Week:
Lexie recieved her endowment!!!!!!!!:) I spent the whole day in the temple. I missed it so much. It was a once in a lifetime experience to sit in the Celestial room next to Lexie and to tell her how much I loved her and was proud of her decisions to follow Christ. It was even better to see her in white the second time. I have such a strong testimony of temple covenants. They are so sacred and give us so much power to overcome our challenges and temptations. I felt so much peace. It was a much needed spiritual uplifting for me and reminded me of why I do the work I do.
Fun adventure of the week:
When we got home for dinner on Thursday it was snowing so much! There is a huge hill right behind our house so I came up with a genius idea of sledding! We broke down a box and put the cardboard inside a garbage bag and went sledding in our skirts hahaha. It was freezing. The Berg's were cracking up at us. They made us hot chocolate to warm us up afterwards. It was nice. We had both Ward Christmas Parties this Saturday. Sunrise Ward was a delicious breakfast. Cinnamon Rolls. Yay! The program was really cute and they read my favorite Christmas book "I Believe in Santa Claus" Love it:) Then Graham Ward had a dinner. It was Christmas around the world! It was so cool to do different traditions for different countries. Sister McCrae and I made a little clay nativity and it is adorable! I am just making so many beautiful memories here:) I love being a missionary! Love you all. Have a great week! #lighttheworld
