Snow Day!!
We went out this morning to exercise and it was snowing!!! Yay!!! It felt like I was back home in Poky:) It was quite the week. We had many amazing miracles. However by far the lesson with Sammi this week was the highlight. Before the lesson I felt so sick. My head was spinning. I just was exhausted and I prayed that everything would go okay. The lesson went so smooth. Sammi has been reading the Book of Mormon. She has some anxiety and has been working alot of college stuff. Stressful. She said that the best part of her day is the 15 minutes she spends reading the Book of Mormon and just focusing on herself. She has been praying for help from Heavenly Father and he is answering! Just to see her smile and the light in her eyes is a miracle. She now knows who she is! She is a daughter of God and is loved. The love of God in our lives can change everything. She is so ready to be baptized. We are just trying to help her parents be involved, but they are so supportive! Extra prayers for their family are much appreciated! We have been trying so hard to go back to the basics and focus on the Book of Mormon in our teaching. Preach my gospel says "The Book of Mormon is your most powerful tool in conversion." TRUTH. We have seen people's hearts soften when we promise blessings from reading the Book of Mormon. We met a returned missionary lady that used to have a strong testimony, but some policies upset her and instead of reading the Book of Mormon she read other things. Please! If you are reading this, READ THE BOOK OF MORMON DAILY!!! Everyday! We met a lot of anti people this week that tried to tell us we are crazy, but when we invited them to find out for themselves if it was true and read the Book, they wouldn't. I invite you all to read it and I promise more peace, purpose, and joy will enter your life.
Last week we had a special fast with Lexie because her mission papers were delayed again. A few days ago I got a text telling me she is going through the temple this Wednesday.... I can't express the joy I feel. I am so excited to be with her as she makes more covenants on the path leading back to Heavenly Father. The Church is true. The Book is blue. And Jesus is a Mormon.
Your Sister in Christ,
Sister Northrup
