Just keep pedaling...pedaling...pedaling

Hello Family and Friends! I hope you are all doing well and loving life as much as I am! It was a fantastic week I am falling in love with Washington more and more everyday. Being out on a bike really helps my stress as a missionary. Believe it or not missionaries have lots of stress haha, but being out in nature makes it much more relaxing. We had a miracle this week (just like every week I guess) We had been out biking for hours... 5 to be exact and we were hot and tired. It was the hottest week of the summer this week. We had been out talking to people all day and we had exhausted our list of potentials to visit. I stopped my bike and decided to ask God where we needed to be. After I prayed I listened, and got really no answer. I was a little disappointed and frustrated. Then I just had a thought.... "Ride. Just ride." So I started to ride down the street we were on looking for people who were outside. A little farther down the street was a man watering his trees. David was his name:) He is golden! We taught him a full restoration lesson in his yard and he accepted the invitation to read the Book of Mormon. We went back the next day and taught again. He is reading and really enjoys it. This may seem like a simple, not very cool, experience, but to me it is such a testimony that Heavenly Father knows who and where all of His children are. He knows where the people that will accept the gospel are located. He knows exactly what they need. As a missionary, I have been able to tap into that knowledge and it is an irreplaceable experience. Heavenly Father knew Sister Whitney and I were tired and hot haha. I love riding bikes, because I have to rely on Him for ALL of my strength. Physical, emotional, spiritual, social, mental, everything! As I rely on His direction for everything, I have seen the most miracles.

We got to take Salina to the discovery center this week! Of course it was amazing! There is no better place on earth than the temple. It is so cool to see Salina's testimony growing, because of the Spirit of Elisha. She really wants to be with her family forever and to feel connected with them. I am eternally grateful for the sealing power. I know that I will be with my family forever, current and future! What blessing it is to have that knowledge of that as members of his church! I love you all! Thank you for all of your love and support! Keep the Faith!

Your Sister in Christ,

Sister Northrup
