On to a new adventure
Man! This week has been a long one, but so productive!! We have had so many lessons with investigators:) Federal Way is the place to be! It is such a blessing to see all the miracles that happen here and to see the work moving forward. People do have their agency however, and it is so difficult when someone receives a witness that this is the truth and denies it. Donovan dropped us this week. It was really hard to see him make that choice. I just pray that when the time is right he will hear the gospel again! :( On the flip side, we taught a golden potential this week! When we first met him it seemed shaky, but we decided to go back. He was so so so prepared! He is an older latino man and going through a divorce. He said that he feels there is a hole in his soul that he needs to feel. He was so excited about the Book of Mormon and came to church this Sunday! He was reading during the sacrament and took a bunch of notes. I am so excited to see how the gospel can change his life and help him fill the hole he is feeling inside. So another sad event is transfers are this week and after 6 months in Federal Way... I am getting sent somewhere new:( The saddest part is that I am leaving my baby. I will miss Sister Bowman so much! We had such a great time and got along perfectly! (Probably too good hahaha) I will now be serving in Elk Plain with Sister Whitney! I am so pumped! Elk Plain is right by Eatonville!!!! It will kind of be like going home. I know that Heavenly Father needs me there and I am so excited to serve in another part of his vineyard.
Fun events of the week: Sister Bowman and I got to play soccer on p-day! Oh how I missed it! I finally gave in and bought a soccer ball haha. It was so fun, plus Sister Bowman used to play soccer so she was a good match;) Also we went to legendary donuts and got donuts the size of our heads!! They were huge! Anyways so many fun wonderful memories here. I will never forget all my wonderful converts. It was especially hard to say goodbye to my favorite African family:((((( One of the best lessons I have learned from my mission is that your heart is never full to love one more person! I can't wait to love the people in Elk Plain, like I love the people here! I love you all! Hope you have a great week
Your Sister in Christ,
Sister Northrup
