New Beginnings
Hello Everyone! It is spring and Washington is more beautiful than ever! It looks like it is snowing all the time here because of all the cotton floating around! We were going to an appointment when we saw some Geese with all their babies huddled in a little pile! It was a tender mercy for sure:) We are teaching a lot of new people lately and have been getting very good referralls of families to teach! We are so excited for that. Families are the life blood of the work of salvation. Our goal is to help families qualify for eternal life together! It is a beautiful privilege to assist my Father in Heaven in protecting the family in this world of changing values.
We had a miracle lesson with a less-active lady named Tristan. We have been trying to teach her forever, but we just kept missing her. But we went over on Saturday and got to teach her the Restoration. She joined the church with her mom when she was younger, but they quickly became less active so she really doesn't remember anything about the church. At least she didn't think she did.. As we taught her, her eyes literally lit up the more we shared about Jesus Christ's Church being restored to the earth. We invited her to pray at the end and ask the question she had come up with which was "What step should I take next in my life?" As she prayed the Spirit filled the room. After she ended she looked up and told us with tears streaming down her face, that she hadn't done that in a long time. We testified that she was feeling the Spirit. She said she wanted to read the Book of Mormon and that she would invite her nonmember husband to take the lessons so they could learn together. I have such a strong testimony of families. I have seen first hand how living the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the home increases the love, peace, and happiness found therein. There is no better way to fix a broken home, heal a hurt heart, or find peace that fills the soul. Christ is the only way. I testify that he loves each one of you and wants you to find maximum happiness in this life and the next. I know that families are meant to be eternal. And that I am blessed to be with my family forever. It was such a blessing to get to talk to them yesterday. Mother's Day is the best! Mostly because I have the best mom!!
