2 more Hearts

Hello Everyone! Man it was a whirlwind of a week! It has come and gone with the snap of my fingers no joke!!! We had two baptisms this past Saturday?:) One for a 13 year old and one for a 9 year old. Let's just say it wasn't quite smooth sailing haha. We walked in around 10:30 to start filling the font and the whole church parking lot was full of cars... We were freaking out! Come to find out they were having the pine wood derby that whole day. There were kids running around, dads using electic sanders, and a guy that was announcing with the loudest voice he could!! It was a chaotic mess. Sister Orr and I just looked at each other, took a deep breath, said a pleading prayer, and went to work. We managed to get the Primary Room set up and everyone cleared out into a different part of the church. Both baptisms went amazing! The Spirit was so strong. Two more of Heavenly Father's precious daughters are on their way towards eternal life!<3 I testify that this is His work! Nothing will stop it from moving foreward (as long as we have sufficient faith)

We had another lesson with Bree and Tim this week and they were really struggling reading the Book of Mormon, but because Sister Orr and I are champs we planned for that haha! Just kidding the Spirit prepared us. We were able to show them how to study the scriptures in a way they can apply it to themselves. I love teaching the lesson about the Book of Mormon because it is so powerful! Reading from its pages changes lives! I have seen it! Halfway into our lesson Tim stopped us and said okay I have to tell you girls something. We held our breath as he recounted an experience he had 5 YEARS EARLIER! Basically he was driving truck at the time and was at a gas station at 4 in the morning trying as quickly as he could to make it to his destination (Trent I know you understand his pain!) Anyways he was standing outside waiting and he noticed one lone car in the far corner of the parking lot. He said he got a little nervous when the engine started up and the car came over towards him. But he just waited and saw an old man like 80 open up his door and walk over to him. Out of nowhere he said " Looks like you need some help." Simultaneously he handed Tim a copy of the Book of Mormon. When Tim looked back up the man and car was gone... GONE!! He sat and thought and asked himself... "Do I need help?" He said since the experience he didn't really read or anything but that question stuck with him. He looked at us with a big grin and said that he knew that we came and knocked his door for a reason. I had to hold back my tears!!! God loves his children. Every single one of them. There are no exceptions. He is preparing every single person to accept the restored gospel! Open your mouths! You never know when YOU will be an answer to someone else's prayer. You never know when YOU will be the person that helps someone else accept the gospel! As for all of you that are reading this that are not yet members... Please prayerfully consider learning more. I know that this Church is Jesus Christ's church restored to the earth in its fullness! It will bring you more peace and joy than anything else in this world. I have felt it in my own life. It is true! I love you all so much! Thank you for all the prayers in my behalf. They are all felt and appreciated immensly! Have a beautiful week! Your Sister in Christ, Sister Northrup
