Rain...Rain...Rain
Hello everyone! Get pumped because there is only 5 days until Christmas!! Woooohooo! Actually I am kind of sad for Christmas time to end, because it is such an easy way to start conversation with people about Jesus Christ. This week has been busy! We have had lots of lessons and some new investigators! I am renaming Eatonville.. Miracleville because so many good things happen! There are prepared people everywhere and I can't wait to see what else is in store for me and Sister Parsons here. Taking over the area has been scary and I feel like I hardly remember anything, but i have also seen so many tender mercies from my Heavenly Father to help me. One day I was desperately trying to figure out who we should see and a potential family came to mind. The parents names are Phillip and Shawna. We had a lesson set up with them, but it fell through and since then we couldn't get in contact. So we stopped by and right in the middle of our prayer in the car, Phillip walked up! He was so nice and said "I thought you ladies would never come back! Come on over here you can tell us about the Mormons while we stack this wood!" I honestly was so shocked! But I just smiled and jumped out of the car and we went and taught him. Come to find out two of his sons are members of the Church! He had some really good questions and has a real desire to learn more. He said we could come back anytime:) Man! The gospel is seriously the greatest thing ever! I wouldn't trade it for anything. It is the foundation for my life and the blueprint for everything I want to accomplish in life. I testify that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the World and that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the Lord's kingdom on the Earth today. He loves us all so much! I encourage you all to ask yourselves this question for this last week before Christmas.. What can I give my Savior this Christmas? Too often we get caught up in things that aren't important and get soooo busy at Christmas when really it should be the least busy and hustle bustle time of year. Focus on what gift you can give the Savior, because after all it is his birthday. Without him none of the joy we experience could be possible. I love you all so much! Merry Christmas! Have a wonderful week full of peace and time spent with family:)
Your Sister in Christ,
Sister Northrup
