Freezing Cold But Still Faithful

Hello Friends! Wow this week went by crazy fast! It has been getting cold. Like cold enough that it actually snowed in Washington yesterday! That never happens, but of course the weather doesn't like me haha. It also rained a ton this week and everything out in the country flooded. It was quite the week for bad weather. Aside from the weather being bad, the work has been progressing well! We met with a lot of investigators this week. Some are doing better than others, so I have some names that I would appreciate extra prayers for if you feel so inclined! Please pray for Sean, Nolan, and Mark!

I have had amazing experiences with prayer this week! We have been preparing for zone conference coming up this week and it is all about prayer. There is a talk by Elder Bednar called Ask in Faith. READ THIS TALK!!!! I love it so much! It has changed my prayers and I have seen miracles as I am more sincere when speaking to my Father in Heaven. He loves us. He wants to hear from us all the time! When we are happy, sad, angry, bored, confused... it doens't matter. As we speak with him and do it with a sincere heart with real intent... answers will come. Personal Revelation is essential for a firm and lasting conversion to the gospel. It builds our faith and helps us act, and as we act we see miracles which give us more faith! it is like the coolest positive feedback system ever! The more we pray the more the spirit enters our life. I would say that prayer is one of my favorite things about being out here serving. We pray all the time. Before we do anything we Pray! It is something that I want to keep up when I come home as well.

Thank you for all of your prayers and support. I love this gospel with all of my being. I testify of the power of meaningful prayer. As we trust in our Heavenly Father and simply ask him to align our desires with him... our hearts will change. We will have a heightened ability to feel the spirit and come closer to our Savior. I love you all! Have a glorious week! Stay warm!

Love,

Sister Northrup
