Happy Halloween
Hello Everyone! I hope you are all doing fantastic! This week has been a crazy one! For Halloween we got permission to attend the trunk-or-treat for the ward. It was a blast! We spent a few lunch hours taping candy to Jesus and Temple pass along cards! Hahaha! We met a lot of people and the members loved that we were passing them out! We gave out some restoration pamphlets as well. It was great! Since Sister Bailey and I couldn't actually dress up we decided to twin! Man! It was the most fun I think I have had the whole time I have been here. So a couple weeks ago we visited a part-member family. Bonnie is a very less active member and her husband Nolan isn't a member. We invited them to come and deck out their truck and they got so pumped! They came dressed up as Bobo Fett and Darth Vader!!! Oh goodness it was so awesome! They came inside afterwards to eat soup and the Bishop came and talked with them. They asked for a tour of the church, because they wanted to come to church on Sunday! It was so amazing! They ended up coming and had a great experience. Nolan told a member that they were for sure coming back next week cause Church is awesome! Oh also a side note.. (Sorry this letter is jumbled) When we went to see them a couple of weeks ago we walked up and they were drinking. We didn't say much about it, but Bonnie told us at church that she just had this overwhelming impression that she didn't need to drink anymore. So her and Nolan quit drinking on their own accord this past Tuesday! They haven't had one since!!! WHAT!!!??? Isn't that like the coolest thing ever!? It is amazing to see that the Lord is preparing them. He knows what they need and that they are ready to start living the Gospel. We are so excited for them! They are amazing people!
So next big announcement... Wait for it... MY FIRST BAPTISM IS THIS WEEK!!!!!! Jacob is getting baptized this Friday and I cannot even explain my emotions. He is such a great kid and has come so far from when we first started teaching him! He has been through lots of sets of missionaries, but as we have been teaching him he says it just clicks! I love this gospel so much! I testify that it is true and that The Book of Mormon is true. I have seen how it changes peoples hearts and helps them accept the invitation to be baptized. I know that Heavenly Father knows all his children perfectly. He knows what they need, when they need it, and how they need it. He loves us all so very much! I love the people of Eatonville with all my heart. There is nowhere else on this earth that I would rather be right now. I know my Heavenly Father needs me here to share his message with the people he has prepared to recieve it. I love you all so very much! Thank you for all the love and support you give me!!! Have a fantabulous week!
Your Sister in Christ,
Sister Northrup
